Description / Services

The European project (AAL program) IANVS (Indoor Activity Notification for Vigilance Services) is developing and testing an infrastructure of 3D localization sensors (internet tags of IoT objects) deployed in retirement homes in order to improve the safety and comfort of users (fall detection, geolocation, geofencing, activity monitoring, …).

These sensors track IoT nodes in space with high precision. Thus it targets 2 main user groups :

  • tenant customers (for whom the node takes the form of a mobile phone) by allowing them to live in complete safety and autonomy in a private environment (alerts on incidents, provides an overview of the end user’s status),
  • healthcare staff (for whom the node appears as a badge) by automating task reporting,

the aim being to improve the quality of life of each user.

The partners involved in the project are :

  • arx iT (Switzerland and France)
  • Magicview (Holland)
  • TertStiftung (Switzerland)
  • Fraunhofer AICOS (Portugal)
